Why I switched from iPhone to Android

Not just another rabid ‘switching’ article, Andy Ihnatko – Macworld columnist, and an ardent iOS user for many years, has solid reasoning and rational concerns. One of his most important points is that it should no longer is about iOS ‘versus’ Android, but that these two systems co-exist.

“Or, I’m in a web browser and I want to send the page I’m reading into the Evernote notebook that I use to plan upcoming podcasts. I tap “Share,” then select “Evernote.” Boom: new note with the URL. My heart breaks a little when I have to try to do the same sort of things on my iPad. I find myself thinking “I wish I had encountered that page while I was using my Android device, where this task is simple, instead of my iPad, where it’s needlessly difficult.”
