Benchmarking Parallels, Fusion, and VirtualBox Against Boot Camp – The Mac Observer

OSX has a variety of virtualization options available, but the choice can often be confusing, but here’s some benchmark results to the rescue. Note that there are feature differences, sometimes 3D rendering quality differences and price differences between these options.

Overall, for no-compromises speed, the non-VM Boot Camp is the best, but most inconvenient option. I prefer VMWare Fusion as an earlier build of Parallels caused me some CPU utilization headaches (since patched), but you can’t go wrong either way.
