Between this and the Wii U, it’s hard to decide which one is closer to the epitome of failing to recognise the trends and demands in the gaming industry. Nintendo has effectively doubled-down on the useless gimmicks which have been proven to fail, instead of genuinely innovating. Nobody wants to carry yet another oversized un-integrated device in their pocket when they head out.
When I see Reggie Fils-Aime presenting the XL, it’s clear that he doesn’t believe in the product himself. He knows it sucks. This isn’t the Nintendo that I used to know and love. Get the popcorn ready.
