Google Currents has been released, as a type of pseudo news aggregator and presentor. If you’ve used Flipboard or Feedly, this is similar. It presents a variety of feeds (either recommended, manually added or taken from your Google Reader) in an easily digestible magazine-style format – Available on iOS and Android (including tablets).
Having played around with Currents at length, I can say that for people who have traditionally been manually visiting sites, this can be a boon and a visually pleasing way to absorb content. But for those who regularly sift through thousands of news articles, a more raw and data-heavy implementation like Reader is better suited.
