I’ve always wondered what the difference was between ‘News Feed’ and ‘Most Recent’. The irony is that Facebook relies on their ‘Edgerank’ algorithm to decide which friends are important to you (without recourse or information), but Google (built on the back of their search algorithms) relies on you to choose (ie. circles).

I’d say the Circles structure quite soundly solves the problem that has plagued Facebook since the beginning: How do you keep your friends/acquaintances/co-workers/etc separate AND read only the updates you want to read?
